Its been a roller coaster week for John Mason. From the excitement of anticipating his 600+ person wedding to fiancee Jennifer Wilbanks, to the horror of her disappearance, to the joy when she called police to say she had been abducted, but that she was okay.

But fate had another surprise in store. Because Jennifer Wilbanks had never been abducted. This real-life runaway bride had simply dropped everything and ran. And on her journey, had discovered radical, fundamentalist Islam.

"Death to all Americans!" says the 32 year old Wilbanks. "I will no longer defile Allah, His name be praised, by parading my body for all to see, which defiles His great and everlasting name, Allah be praised."

This form of Islam requires that women be covered from head to toe in a shroud called a Burqa. Harsh penalties are imposed for daring skin be shown in public.

In explaining why she initially lied to police, she invoked the Islamic concept of taqiyya. "Filthy Americans disgust me," she said, "Allah be praised."

That's a burqa? Huh. I thought she'd run off and been adopted by Michael Jackson.
