Rising Anti-Semitism Forces European Commision To Act

Posted by a4g @ 3/10/2005 07:39:00 AM

The European Commission, responding to a secret internal report issued late last week which ominously details rising anti-semitism within the EU, today issued a ruling which commissioners believe will calm tensions within member states.

According to a highly placed source within the commission, the spelling of "Joooooos!" will be augmented to "Jooooooos!" The commission will officially announce the change at a Friday ceremony, with full implementation required on or before May 1, 2005. It is believed the addition of the seventh "o" will, "calm tensions, ease fears, and help European Muslim and Christian alike to express themselves with greater clarity."

Some in the French government have already vowed to block the ruling, claiming that adding a single "o" is only a half-measure, and are strongly pushing to enact the widespread French preference for either nine or twelve "o"'s.
